Societies |
Our caption actually shows the LCGC Committee on tour in May 2005. This is only because we can’t find a picture of a visiting society at Limpsfield in the wet. No doubt someone will oblige! Whatever the weather or season, we go out of our way to make Golf Societies very welcome. As previously stated elsewhere on the site, we have to limit numbers, because a 9-hole course can only accommodate so many - but we have catered for societies and groups from 8 to 42 in the past 12 months. If your society is looking to play a course where it is made to feel most welcome, with a suitable meal or snack to finish off with a drink or two, give our Secretary a ring. Subject to availability, he will help you to put a package together which will represent excellent value for your special day. Having two starting points also helps ensure that most groups arrive back at the Clubhouse within a reasonable timespan, so the meal you have ordered can be served when it’s ready, rather than the first group in memorising the trophy boards whilst awaiting the tail-end! |

We will tailor a package from £25 per head to whatever you want to spend. Give the Secretary a list or your requirements and let him come back to you with the options. Click here to email Ray [Smitherman], or visit the Contacts page for alternative points of contact. |

Some societies have been coming for a very long time - and they always have a good turnout when the members know the venue. But rather like the membership, a drop of ‘fresh blood’ would not go amiss! Give your group a change of scene! |

With apologies to Alyth Golf Club in Angus, Scotland, whose opening day picture we have borrowed. 8 members of LCGC recently visited Alyth on the annual pilgrimage to the ‘home of golf’. We could not have been looked after better - and what a golf course! |
