Men’s Section

For the competitive golfer there is a full golfing calendar with competitions being held throughout the year. These include strokeplay, matchplay and Stableford competitions. Regular Saturday competitions are held . There is a summer and winter matchplay schedule in singles, fourball and foursome formats. The Club has a variety of matches against other local clubs in the area, both competitive and friendly.

Social Section

The Club has a thriving non-playing social section which enables Club members to continue their relationship with friends and colleagues when they are no longer able to play. Visiting teams of golfers often describe Limpsfield Chart GC as the friendliest club in Surrey. Existing playing members and social members engage in a variety of social activities over and above getting together in the bar. Examples of events include:

  • Traditional Sunday lunches every couple of months prepared by our highly regarded local chef
  • Quiz evenings with light meal
  • Murder mystery events again with light sharing dishes
  • Gourmet dinner evenings
  • Summer BBQ
  • Wine tasting events
  • Charity dinners
  • Weekly bridge games and occasional charity bridge events
  • Members can host dinners or buffets for friends in the historic clubhouse.

These are mainly informal events and people can form groups or sit randomly so as to make all members welcome. Members may bring guests to many of these events.

Ladies' Section

The Club has an active and friendly Ladies' section.

We warmly welcome all ages and golfing abilities from beginners to low handicaps. Our busy and varied programme offers all members the opportunity to play as much or as little as they would like. New members are welcome to the club with a ‘buddy’ to introduce them to the various events and competitions.

The Ladies main competition day is Thursday. On Thursday afternoons, members enjoy rounding off their day with tea and cake. Older members who can no longer manage the course are encouraged to come along and celebrate special events and birthdays.

Our ladies actively participate in mixed competitions at the Club and enjoy the many joint social events that the Club regularly organises. In addition, a thriving ladies group meets on Tuesday afternoons for a roll-up game. Away events are organised when possible.

Qualifying Trophy competitions, knockout matches, social and fun games, as well as home and away friendlies, are interspersed throughout the year to provide a variety of events for all to enjoy, often followed up by drinks, a buffet or a sit down meal.

Teams represent the Club in Surrey-organised competitions such as the Pearson Trophy and the Druce – and individuals can also participate in Surrey competitions on their own or as part of a team.

Come and join our friendly group of players – you won’t regret your decision!
