The course is fairly flat, in that there are no major climbs up or down
However ‘flat’ does not mean uninteresting, as this view from the 11th tee (right) shows. The drive has quite a carry over a former claypit.
Aptly known as ‘the pit’, in the summer months, the bracken and brambles grow to head height - only the brave venture into it in search of a mis-hit tee shot.
To the right in the foreground is the 2nd tee. So you can see that a 9-hole course can achieve a lot of variety by the location of the tees.
