We didn’t get a chance to thank you all for our visit yesterday so thought it only right to do so this morning.

Firstly, from the moment we arrived, your in-House staff were brilliant. Our breakfast was one of the best we’ve ever had. The only thing we didn’t do justice was the coffee which I could have easily kept drinking had we not actually been playing golf!

Your course, although not long by modern standards, was well received by each and every one of us. Your greens were firm, well prepared and especially if putting from the wrong side of the hole, devilishly difficult to judge speed on the downhill lines. Clearly I didn’t learn quickly enough that leaving yourself below the cup is definitely the way forward to shoot your best score.

Of the 15 players in our group, only one score returned over 36 points but many in the 30’s, which again reinforces the fact that your track is not only fair but offers the travelling golfer a good test if they stick to a gameplan and don’t get too greedy.

In short, our visit was a delight to all of us who could make it.

I would just like to thank you and your staff for looking after the Nevill ladies so well yesterday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves playing your lovely course although we did get rather wet at the beginning of our rounds. We then came in and were looked after wonderfully by your catering staff with absolutely delicious food, please thank those ladies for us.

Thanks again for all your help today and over the last few weeks trying to arrange the golf day. Today was a real success.The course was in great condition, everyone seemed to score well with the vast majority in the 16-18 point bracket, all apart from Mike of course with his 25 points and both nearest the pins!

The balls in the bag was a great idea as well, thanks.

The food was fantastic, everyone loved the lasagne and Neil and Lyndsey were really great. I think we will use her for some other work functions in the future.
